Unlike Wes, we do not use the recovery key file and instead rely on user Auth.

The issue hasn't been reported enough to us nor has it been a big enough issue that I've actually dived into the potential problem.

It would be helpful to isolate if it is the same tornado source file that is causing the error. @minrk Failing above at https://github.com/tornadoweb/tornado/blob/master/tornado/netutil.py#L468. Looks like this issue on the tornado site is related: tornadoweb/tornado#1534 and may have a workaround for @stahlous @stahlous If possible, would you mind sharing the traceback here from the error message?
